URD restored the destroyed bridge over the Tal River

The war in Ukraine has resulted in some of the most extensive infrastructure damage. Thousands of kilometers of Ukrainian roads have been destroyed, hundreds of bridges and overpasses have been damaged and require restoration, major repairs, and some completely new structures.

The URD team has been actively working on restoring transport links since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

One of the first tasks for URD workers was to carry out a major repair of the bridge over the Tal River, which is located on the P-02 Kyiv-Ivankiv-Ovruch highway and is of significant logistical importance for the local population and the country.

The old bridge was destroyed by the enemy at the beginning of the war. But thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the continuous work of URD workers, together with the residents of Borodianka and Ivankiv districts, we recently opened a new bridge, which significantly improves logistical connections for local residents.
A number of construction works were carried out to ensure the strength and reliability of the bridge structure:

• Restored and strengthened the bearing structures – with metal frames.
• Performed reinforcement of the monolithic area.
• Arranged and compacted the gravel base.
• Created formwork and poured a monolithic slab, also formwork and on water slides.
• Arranged gutters on the approaches and compaction of the mixture.
• Developed the soil and arranged the adjacent territory.
• Applied the appropriate road marking and installed road signs.

The construction of the bridge over the Tal River was monitored by independent technical supervision specialists of Architectural Office LLC. “There is no notice to the contractor, the work on the construction of the bridge was carried out in accordance with the normative acts provided by the legislation. There were no deviations or deviations from the acts, the work was performed well and in a timely manner, – says Elena Ogorodnikova, leading engineer of the technical inspection of LLC “Architectural Office”.

Today the bridge is open, cars are moving along it, each in its own direction. We are delighted that the cut-off villages are returning to a full life! And we are moving further to restore, rebuild the road connection of invincible Ukraine. We are winning together through struggle and work!
