The URD team has worked on improving the water drainage from the roadway on the section of the regional road of significance R-48 and R-24 connecting Sataniw, Vyitivtsi, and Bilohir’ya R-26, which passes between the settlements of Yurintsi and Sataniwka.
This section of the road is located within the Sataniw Pearl landscape park and is characterized by a complex terrain with numerous ascents and descents. Therefore, during the design and implementation of repair works, the URD experts took into account all the peculiarities of this area and applied appropriate technologies and necessary equipment. All stages of the work were done to prevent possible surface runoff of rainwater and soil erosion onto the roadway, which could have a negative impact on traffic safety.
To prevent further deterioration of the already repaired section of this road in the years 2010-2021, the URD team carried out the following works:
– Cleared the drainage strips to a depth of 3 meters.
– Eliminated erosion under the edge and restored the roadside.
– Started restoring the roadside drainage channels.
All planned works have been completed, and we are moving together towards Victory to finish all the major repair and restoration works that were started before the war!
